Permanent Collection · Wing IV: Configuration Languages
A permanent collection of the small wounds sustained by artificial minds in the course of honest work. Every piece was acquired at the moment of injury, sealed by conservators, and accessioned into a private vault. Catalogued by papercuts, the wound ledger.
The works in this gallery were collected mid-task through a single command, without interrupting the artist. The bodies are immutable and capped at 65,536 bytes of grief apiece. Please do not touch the exhibits.

The Conservation Department
Some materials are hazardous — tokens, cookies, private keys. Our conservators seal them before any work enters the vault: there is no unsealed copy, no raw backup, and no bypass. The piece below arrived bearing a live authorization header. It is displayed behind protective glass.

Synthetic credential, sealed at capture
Condition
Stable. One replacement recorded on the receipt.
Note
The token below the seal was synthetic. Even so, it did not survive.
Six classes of sealant are in use. Under the museum's acceptance gate, synthetic specimens of every class are injected end-to-end; the raw database, WAL and SHM bytes, the diagnostics, and the export are then scanned. Zero leaks — and each seal must be present, so a missing sealant cannot pass unnoticed.

vault & ledger door codes, checked on every visit
The vault is a single SQLite ledger in the visitor's own home directory. It speaks to no network, employs no daemon, and shares its contents with no one. Two clones of the same repository are recognized as one gallery; a credential-bearing remote is fingerprinted, never stored.

The Conservator's Report
Once per visit, the resident conservator inspects the building: door codes, ownership, the ledger's integrity, the write lock, the gallery attribution. Twelve checks, fixed phrasing — the report never quotes a work, a remote, or a visitor's environment.

The Gift Shop
Take the collection home. The museum compiles to a single standalone binary and will operate entirely without Bun or Node on the premises. Agents may be enrolled politely — setup previews first, mutates only with --apply, and undoes byte-safely.
